Nanjing is ranked fifth in the world in the "2024 Nature Index - Research Cities" and ninth in the world's technology clusters in the "2024 Global Innovation Index".

Yangzi Yangba light hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization, Jinling Petrochemical high-end daily chemicals and transformation and upgrading, Huatian sealing and testing industrial base and other 10 billion projects started, Hitachi new energy vehicles, Huichuan robotics, Xiaomi and a number of other high-quality projects put into operation, Bossi Home Appliances global R & D center, LG new energy China headquarters and other iconic projects signed a settlement. The number of national manufacturing champion enterprises is 13, ranking the fourth in China. There are 121 new state-level specialized, special and new "small giant" enterprises, ranking sixth in China, with a total of 334 enterprises.

Further Improvement of Urban Functions
The positioning of the core functions of the city has been further enhanced. The Nanjing Territorial Spatial Master Plan (2021-2035) was the first among provincial capital cities to be approved. Nanjing Port was approved by the Ministry of Transportation and the provincial government, the railroad hub project at Nanjing North Railway Station commenced, the pre-feasibility study for the third phase of the Lukou Airport project was completed, the Ningyang Yangtze River Bridge was completed and opened to traffic, and the main line of the Xinshenwei Yangtze River Bridge was opened to traffic.

People's sense of gain, happiness and security further enhanced
The annual 40 practical projects on people's livelihood were fully completed, and the level of basic public services was the first in the province. People's sense of security reached 99.2%, the first in the province. PM2.5 concentration fell to 28.3 micrograms per cubic meter, the ratio of good air quality days reached 85.8%, the best level. The quality of water environment monitoring is the first in the province.

The company has attracted 612 projects with investment amount of more than 100 million yuan, and 117 projects with registered capital of more than 100 million yuan. Carrying out the action of "Global VIPs Visiting Nanjing" and "Entering the Headquarters of Multinational Corporations", the contract value and execution amount of service outsourcing ranked the forefront in China, and the scale of cross-border e-commerce ranked the first in the province.
