Suspension of operations on the southern and northern sections of Line 7
According to the construction plan of Nanjing Metro, the middle section of the under-construction Line 7 project will soon carry out the commissioning work of accessing the existing lines of Line 7. Affected by the cutting construction, the northern section of Line 7 (Shufu West Road Station to Xianxin Road Station) and the southern section (Xishanqiao Station to Yingtian Street Station) will be temporarily suspended from July 10th to August 18th for operational services.This construction is an extremely important step before the realization of the full line of Line 7 through the operation, will lay a solid foundation for the subsequent opening of the entire line.
Metro Line 7 has a total length of about 35.5 kilometers, with a total of 27 stations. The northern section (Mufu West Road Station to Xianxin Road Station) was opened on December 28, 2022, and the southern section (Xishanqiao Station to Yingtian Street Station) was opened on December 28, 2023. The remaining middle section has a mileage of about 11 kilometers, with a total of 8 stations. At present, the project civil construction, equipment installation, and system monolithic debugging have entered the final stage, and the station decoration and joint commissioning are in full swing.
The cutover work needs to signal, power supply, communication, vehicle, integrated monitoring five important systems of the remaining middle section of the project were connected to the operation of the south section and the north section. 7 line as a fully automated driving line, the Nanjing Metro on the cutover work of the difficulties and safety of a number of studies and debates, decided to use the existing line 7 stop operation, the whole line (south, north, middle) centralized commissioning program, the program can shorten the night time commissioning period. This program can shorten the night commissioning period by several times. At present, all the work plans have been prepared in accordance with the hourly unit, each system cross operation, 24 hours of convergence to promote, maximize the commissioning efficiency and reduce safety risks.
This construction is the 7 line to realize the whole line through the operation of an extremely important step before the subsequent 7 line of the middle section of the project also need to carry out station decoration, not passenger test run, empty "run map" and other work, and strive to achieve the early opening of the whole line after the acceptance of the 7 line operation.
