New progress on the construction of Line 9 Phase 1 (Gulou Section) is here!

The first phase of the renewed Line 9 is under full-scale civil construction, and some sections are undergoing track laying and station installation. Up to now, 15 new stations have been started and completed the enclosure structure, of which 12 stations have completed the main structure. 27 shield tunnels have started, of which 22 shield tunnels have passed through.

Line 9 Phase I Siping Road Square Station

Main structure base plate successfully closed

Recently, the last bottom slab of the main structure of Line 9 Phase I Siping Road Square Station was poured, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the main structure.

Siping Road Plaza Station is located in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Jianning Road and South Bridge Road, and is arranged east-west on the north side of Jianning Road. This station is an underground three-story island station, double-column and three-span box-type frame structure, using open excavation and construction, the total length of the station is 153.25m.

Siping Road Plaza Station is located in the Yangtze River Diffuse Zone, with complicated geology, the upper part of the foundation pit is weak stratum of chalky soil and sand, and the lower part of the rock surface is undulating and changeable. The station is adjacent to the East Extension of Jianning Road West Crossing Project, based on the characteristics of the two pits in close proximity to each other, in order to ensure the safe excavation of the pit, the site strictly implements the earth excavation program, timely erection of support, and strengthen the monitoring. Nanjing Metro overcame many unfavorable factors such as continuous high temperature and construction site limitation by scientifically organizing the on-site construction process, adjusting the operation time, and successfully completing the closure of the basement slab of the pit structure according to the plan. The successful closure of the main slab of Siping Road Plaza Station not only improves the stability of the foundation pit, but also creates favorable conditions for the subsequent construction of the main structure.

Line 9 Phase I Shimonoseki Station - Baiyunting Station Interval

Successful completion of the liaison channel

Recently, with the end of concrete pouring into the mold of the pump room, the construction of the liaison channel and sewage pump room of Line 9 Phase I Shimonoseki Station to Baiyunting Station Interval (hereinafter referred to as the "Shimonoseki Interval") was successfully completed.

The total length of the lower white interval is 814m, there is a contact channel and sewage pump house, the structure form adopts initial spray anchor support + reinforced concrete mold lining. The contact channel is located directly under the South Jehol Road, and the geology of the interval is soft soil layer of silt in the Yangtze River Diffuse Bank, which is soft and difficult to construct, and the construction adopts the technology of "horizontal freezing and reinforcement in the hole + mine excavation method".

Nanjing Metro strictly follows the relevant regulations to do a good job in demonstrating the special construction program and verifying the conditions of key nodes before excavation. Since the excavation of the liaison channel, Nanjing Metro, together with all the construction parties, went into the front line, strictly followed the 24-hour duty system, reported the information of the construction process on time every day, and strictly complied with the principles of short excavation, strong support, fast closure and diligent measurement in the construction process, which ultimately ensured the safe completion of the liaison channel, and laid a good foundation for the subsequent track-laying and installation work.
