China and Serbia sign

On May 8, during President Xi Jinping's visit to Serbia, China's Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Serbia's Minister of Internal and External Trade Tomislav Momirovic co-signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Internal and External Trade of the Republic of Serbia on Cooperation in E-Commerce in Belgrade.

China and Serbia have strong political mutual trust, fruitful results in the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road, strong economic and trade cooperation, and broad prospects for cooperation in the field of e-commerce. According to the memorandum, the two sides will establish an e-commerce cooperation mechanism, strengthen policy communication and experience sharing, promote local cooperation, carry out joint research and personnel training, encourage e-commerce cooperation between enterprises of the two countries, and promote the docking between small and medium-sized enterprises and large-scale e-commerce platforms, so as to inject new impetus into the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.

So far, China has established bilateral e-commerce cooperation mechanisms with 31 countries, including Serbia.
