Nanjing Tongli Crystal Materials Research Institute was established in May 2018, fully operated by Nanjing Tongli Crystal Materials Research Institute Co. In June of the same year, it was listed in the second batch of new R&D institutions in Nanjing and awarded a license.
The institute is jointly established by Lishui District Government of Nanjing and Tongji University. Relying on the high-quality regional resources of Lishui District in terms of economy, industry and policy, the institute actively exerts the advantages of Tongji University in the disciplines of crystalline materials, scientific and technological innovation, and talent team, etc., establishes a research and development base of crystalline materials, devices and equipments of international advanced level, fosters the incubation of a number of new high-tech enterprises, promotes the development of the new materials industry and provides important technical and talent support for the development of local society and economy. At present, the company has 1 National Jieqing, and 8 high-level R&D personnel with doctoral and master's degrees.
The institute owns crystal growth equipment of guided-mode method, hot-exchange method and tensile method, diamond single-multi-wire cutting machine, 2100°C vacuum tungsten filament annealing furnace, X-ray directional instrument and other growth processing and testing equipment, and is mainly engaged in research and development of key crystal growth and preparation technologies, post-processing and characterization technologies with international leading level, so as to make key technological breakthroughs and realize industrialization in two major fields, i.e., semiconductor crystal materials and devices, represented by sapphire, gallium oxide crystals and photonic crystals, and laser crystals and devices, represented by titanium gemstones and single crystal fiber. devices represented by sapphire, gallium oxide crystals and photonic crystals, and laser crystals and devices represented by titanium gemstones and monocrystalline optical fibers, to achieve key technological breakthroughs in the two major fields and realize industrialization, and to build a research and development and incubation base of crystalline materials and their devices with market competitiveness.
The company is located in Dongping New Material Town of Lishui District, close to Lishui High-speed Railway Station and G25, S38 Lishui East Exit, 20 minutes' drive from Nanjing Lukou Airport and 40 minutes' drive from Nanjing South Railway Station, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment.
