In order to further strengthen the regular communication and exchange with foreign enterprises and foreign business associations, to do better and finer enterprise services, to continuously optimize the business environment, and to encourage foreign enterprises to cultivate and develop in Changsha, on April 29th, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Nanjing Branch of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China jointly organized the first "Foreign Enterprises Roundtable", which was attended by key European enterprises from the city of Nanjing and the city. Key European enterprises from the city and Nanjing participated in this activity. Mr. Yao Cheng, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and Mr. Peng Li, Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, presided over the meeting.
Yao Cheng pointed out in his speech that the European Union has become one of the most important trade partners, sources of foreign investment and investment destinations of Changzhou. In the future, Changzhou will hold regular round tables for foreign enterprises, act as a good "shopkeeper" and "emergency doctor", continuously optimize services, escort the development of enterprises, and strengthen the confidence and determination of foreign enterprises to grow bigger, stronger and better in Changzhou.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) Nanjing Branch, Mr. An Rui Shi, said that the EUCCC has been actively organizing visits and seminars in Changzhou, and with the support of the Changzhou Municipal Government, it will introduce Changzhou to more European investors, and at the same time, better facilitate and provide services to guarantee the investment of EU enterprises in Changzhou.
Participating enterprises spoke freely and exchanged views on the current business situation and difficulties, future development plans, opinions and suggestions on the business environment. Participating enterprises said that through the roundtable, they further understood Changzhou's business environment and policies and measures to attract foreign investment, and strengthened their confidence in investing and developing in Changzhou.
Municipal Bureau of Commerce will implement the desktop management of the problems and demands reflected by the enterprises, continue to track and promote the solution, with the help of the mechanism of the Round Table of Foreign Invested Enterprises, face-to-face exchange of problems, help deepen the cooperation between the two sides, and serve the development and growth of foreign-funded enterprises in Changsha.
Participants also visited the Innovation Exhibition Center of Changzhou National Hi-tech Zone, and gained an in-depth understanding of the strategic advantages, development results and other achievements of Changzhou Hi-tech Zone in the areas of intelligent energy, new materials, new energy automobile and automobile core parts, new-generation information technology, new pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and high-end intelligent equipment manufacturing "two special, three new, and one intelligent" industrial clusters.
