On September 12, the China International Fair for Trade in Services 2024 (hereinafter referred to as "CIFT"), with the theme of "Global Services for Mutual Benefit and Sharing", was officially kicked off in Beijing. This year's CITES is the first national and international large-scale exhibition held in China after the Third Plenary Session of the Twentieth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), with a total of 85 countries and international organizations hosting exhibitions or conferences in the name of national governments or headquarters, and more than 450 of the world's top 500 companies and leading enterprises in the industry participating in the event offline, which has formed the core of the summit, the main part of the summit, and the supporting facilities, such as the "Exhibition + Negotiation + Promotion + Achievement Release". The framework system of multi-level activities is formed with the summit as the core, "exhibition and display + negotiation and promotion + results release" as the main body, and complemented by supporting activities. As an open province and a large province of trade in services, more than 130 organizations and enterprises in Jiangsu appeared on the line and offline at the Trade in Services Fair.
On the afternoon of September 12, Assistant Minister of Commerce Tang Wenhong came to the Jiangsu exhibition area to learn more about the development advantages of the key areas of trade in services in our province, as well as new technologies and products in the fields of digital trade, cultural trade, technology trade, etc., and fully affirmed the achievements of the development of trade in services in Jiangsu.
Jiangsu Delegation fully exploited the resources of CITES, made full use of the exhibition platform, and actively promoted high-quality participation of platform carriers and enterprises in the field of trade in services in our province. First, the delegation actively participated in the selection of service demonstration cases for this year's FITEC, and fully demonstrated the latest technologies, products, achievements and applications in the field of trade in services in our province. The project "Sunyu Zijin-Nanjing IPR Globalization Service Platform" of Jiangsu Sunyu Information Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the 2024 FITEC Industry Innovation Model Case. Secondly, we actively participated in the supporting activities related to FITEC. Jiang Xin, deputy director of the provincial Department of Commerce, led a delegation to participate in the opening ceremony of FITEC and some forums, and the responsible comrades in charge of the business departments of Nanjing, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Huai'an and other cities led teams to participate in exhibitions, among which the Suzhou trading sub-group organized a visit by nearly 130 people from various districts and counties in the city to participate in the Forum on the Development of Trade in Services, the Global Green Economy Development Forum and other thematic forums to coordinate the promotion of investment and economic and trade docking.
In the next step, the Department of Commerce will focus on accelerating the construction of a two-way open hub with world convergence, and continue to optimize the policy system, promotion system and cultivation mechanism of trade in services with the goal of "expanding quantity and improving quality, innovating and striving for excellence". It will build and improve the regional layout of the province with the synergistic development of "dual-core leadership and multi-point support", attract and cultivate a number of platform-type head enterprises with international influence and competitiveness in key areas, and comprehensively enhance the influence of the brand of "SuXinShuShuShuShuShuShuShuShuShuShuShu".
