It is understood that the eastern center was established in 2016, under the guidance of the Provincial Health Commission, docking more than 30,000 medical institutions of all levels and types in the province.Up to now, the center has aggregated public health clinical data of more than 80 million people in the province at a high standard, as well as 20PB of multi-omics data and imaging data of the province, with a total of more than 70 billion data entries.
Healthcare big data, is an important national basic strategic resources, its transformation and application will bring great help to the development of life and health industry.At the same time, such a volume of data has extremely high requirements for storage and use.
In order to ensure safety and control, the center has established a transformation and application process of "real-name approval, rapid approval, fixed-point retrieval, categorized use, full monitoring, and multi-party supervision" to provide data support for clinical research, industrial development and other fields under the safety and security premise of "original data does not go out of the domain" and "data is available but not visible". "Currently, we can provide data application solutions for single-disease research, AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment, drug discovery, real-world research on Chinese medicine, prospective cohort studies, and so on." Xu Xiaolan introduced, in addition to the above data conversion application services, the center also closely follow the current hotspot, for enterprises "customized" high-throughput compound virtual screening, Chinese medicine network pharmacology analysis services.
