On August 20, Chen Tao, Director of the Commerce Department, met with Chen Yinglong, Executive Director, Chief Investment Officer and Representative of the Chairman's Office of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, and his entourage, and the two sides exchanged views on further deepening cooperation.
Mr. Chen Tao said that HKCG, as a century-old enterprise, has been deeply cultivating in Jiangsu for many years, carrying out natural gas business in the industrial and commercial sectors in Nanjing, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Suzhou and other cities, and actively committing itself to the research and development of technologies and production in the fields of energy conservation, environmental protection, renewable energy and other green low-carbon areas, making positive contributions to the high-quality development of Jiangsu's economy. It is hoped that HKCG will proactively seize the new opportunities for Jiangsu's development, expand its investment in Jiangsu, and contribute to the construction of Jiangsu's modernized industrial system and the development of new quality productivity. The Department of Commerce will continue to do a good job of related services to support HKCG's better development in Jiangsu.
Mr. Chen Yinglong thanked the Department of Commerce for its long-term support and assistance to the company's development in Jiangsu. He said that HKCG attaches great importance to its business development in Jiangsu, and hopes to increase its investment in energy saving and emission reduction areas such as biofuels in the future, so as to promote the development of circular economy and renewable energy. HKCG is willing to further strengthen the cooperation with the Department of Commerce and continue to contribute to the economic and social development of Jiangsu, especially the development of green and low-carbon industries. Both sides also exchanged views on matters related to product exports.
