"5G+Industrial Internet" refers to the use of new-generation information and communication technologies represented by 5G to build a new type of infrastructure, application mode and industrial ecology that is deeply integrated with the industrial economy. Through the comprehensive connection of people, machines, things and systems by 5G technology, a new manufacturing and service system covering the whole industrial chain and the whole value chain will be built, providing a new realization way for the digital, networked and intelligent development of industry and even industry, and helping enterprises to realize the development of cost reduction, quality enhancement, efficiency improvement, green and safety.
In recent years, Nanjing has seized the development opportunity of "5G+Industrial Internet", accelerated the construction of 5G new information infrastructure and typical applications, and integratedly promoted the development of the five functional systems of industrial Internet network, marking, platform, data and security.In 2022, Nanjing was incentivized by the State Council's supervision, and was named as a city with obvious results in building information infrastructure, advancing industrial digitization, accelerating the innovative development of the industrial Internet, and promoting capacity building for network and data security.

Strong infrastructure support
The city has accumulated 43,800 5G base stations, and the number of 5G base stations per 10,000 people is 46, the highest in the province. The city has built 306 5G industry virtual private networks and more than 10 industrial independent private networks. 4 parks have been selected as the first batch of "10 Gigabit Parks" in Jiangsu Province, and the scale of smart computing has exceeded 9,000P, ranking first in the province. It has constructed and formed a relatively perfect "1+1+14" industrial Internet logo resolution system, and the volume of logo registration and resolution ranked the first in the country. The city has built 10 public service platforms of "5G+Industrial Internet", cultivated more than 100 key enterprises in the field of 5G, which basically cover the upstream, midstream, downstream and supporting services of the industrial chain, and the shipment of domestic industrial robots has remained the first in China for the past five consecutive years, and the level of development of artificial intelligence has ranked the first in the country and the first in the province. The city has more than 1,000 national standards and intellectual property rights related to 5G and industrial Internet, and Zijinshan Laboratory is an industry leader in research and development capabilities in the future network, 6G and other cutting-edge fields, creating more than 10 "world firsts" in 6G terahertz real-time wireless transmission.

Scale application is beginning to bear fruit
The city has built 24 factories with more than 10 typical application scenarios of "5G+Industrial Internet", and 7 factories have been selected in the list of 5G factories by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). ZTE Corporation has built the first 5-star 5G factory in China, and Yangzi Petrochemical, Nanjing Iron & Steel, and China Railway Puzhen have been selected as key industry practice cases and industrial Internet pilot demonstrations of MIIT's "5G+Industrial Internet" respectively. Through the construction of 5G factories, key enterprises have realized an average reduction of 10% in energy consumption, a reduction of 20% in comprehensive costs, and an increase of 30% in production efficiency.
