It's an urban neighborhood that grew up on a riverbank.The Yangtze River is a vast, rushing river, and its development trajectory is closely linked to the Yangtze River, hence the name "along the river".
Geographically, Jiangbei New District along the river street east of the Yangtze River, the shoreline is 5.5 kilometers long. The present Yangtze River embankment was built after 1998.
Prior to this, there were only three large earth-built ridges along the river to help villagers block the annual flooding season. When the water flooded, people temporarily evacuated, and when the water went away, they started over again. For the old Yanjiang people, the Yangtze River is still the source of life of this land.
After 1998, the water conservancy attack, year by year reinforcement, the Yangtze River dike was built. From then on, people along the river no longer need to worry about the annual flood season, and the three ridges have been withdrawn from the stage of history.That period of history has built a strong dam and forged the backbone of Yanjiang people's hard work and endurance.
