During the Nanjing-Hong Kong economic, trade, and technological exchange activities, the Nanjing Municipal People’s Government signed a cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to jointly establish the Nanjing Technology Innovation Research Institute. This collaboration aims to combine the research strengths of PolyU with Nanjing’s educational and industrial resources to create a high-end technological innovation platform. The cooperation will facilitate the deep integration of Hong Kong’s innovative resources with Nanjing’s innovation, industry, funding, and talents, empowering the innovative development in both cities.

The Nanjing-Hong Kong Joint Law Firm Project is the first law firm in Jiangsu Province that is a partnership between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. Jiangsu Fadedongheng Law Firm and one of the largest local law firms in Hong Kong, ONC Lawyers, signed a cooperation agreement. The DTG Corporate Travel Project is the first foreign-invested travel agency in Jiangsu province to be allowed to organize Chinese residents for overseas tourism. As one of China’s two major travel platforms, LY.COM was listed on the Main Board of SEHK on November 26, 2018. The EZPOWER Solar Photovoltaic Intelligent Component Manufacturing Base Project has a total investment of RMB 1 billion. The base will manufacture photovoltaic components and cells, provide integrated solutions, such as heat pump balcony power generation systems, and build a green and low-carbon demonstration factory to enhance intelligent manufacturing in Nanjing.

HKEX, as one of the world’s largest and most reputable exchange groups, provides abundant financing channels and investment opportunities for listed companies and investors. During their time in Hong Kong, the Nanjing delegation held the Nanjing Science and Technology Financial Reform Promotion & Business Listing Seminar. The delegation also visited PolyU, the Wharf (Holdings) Limited, and the Jiangsu-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce to further strengthen the mutual cooperation and promote the implementation of relevant projects.
